"Ok i think most of you will recognise this pose immediatly. Yes It was inspired by Botticelli's St Sebastian. I modified the legs a little (and they are damn wrong now) but the whole pause is more or less the same. I wanted to make my own interpretation of it.
It was done for 's contest, We have to make a picture of our characters' death scene. I was thinking of making something original [blahblah]
I know there plenty of anatomy errors.. :/ Don't tell me what is wrong i know about it :/ I may make a new version with all that issues fixed. But I'm posting this one for the moment."
Ok finally colored it.... Had fun with blues and greys. I hope you like it.... I don't really know what to say. Damn art block I try to do some coloring to spend my time.
It's been some time since I last submitted a pic of Swtḫwasj. I missed drawing him. And coloring him. More colored pics to come soon i think...
Anyways here it is.
And... Just to tell in case.. This character althought unnamed is mine. I came up with the design etc and bleh bleh. Please respect it and do not steal. I case anyone would =__=
This is very nice, it feels connected to another world of allegories and stories. This character bears character like that of a real world character and not just a illustrated one. The self-sacrifice for what his heart tells him is worthy of self-sacrifice... Amazing.
Saint Sebastien! I love him. To combine this kind of infernal imagery with the well-known image of a saint is outlandish, brilliant, and bordering on blasphemy. I love it. You've impressed me yet again. Je t'aime. Je t'aime. Je t'aime.
Yeah i love him too.. There's a painting of st sebastien in a cathedral near my flat by the school of the Caravaggio. I love to go there and eyeball/lurk all the paintings and beautiful art when there's noone. I always loved boticelli's representation too so I wanted to try something.... And whee~ here's the picture.
You live by this school? Wow, lucky...person! I need to rent a closet in your flat, so I can lurk around it too. It is always more fun to lurk when no one can see you doing it (maybe you should take some photos ). I love that painting too and I'm really happy you undertook the task.
Well by "school of caravaggio" i was talking about Caravagism (?) (no idea how it's spelled in english) which concerns the paintings highly inspired by the artist that many artists and followers started painting after his death. (in a nuttshell) But yes it's a very nice place in the old medieval pat of the town :3
